Progress as reported in our updates from August 2024 through Q1 2026.
Before a single home goes up, a community needs its bones. Here is how the roads, water and power at Veritas Village Coronado came together, step by step.
A Timeline
- August 2024: We took delivery of our own excavator, since nearly every task needs one, and repaired the existing workshop. Road building began: existing tracks were widened, topsoil was removed down to inorganic material, and the road bed was built up with coarse gravel. The water tower foundation was started right away.
- October 2024: The water tower foundation pillars were complete and backfilled, and the tank, nicknamed “Big Bertha,” was fabricated. A temporary creek crossing opened the way to homesites north of the creek.
- April 2025: Roads were 100% roughed in, with every homesite accessible. More than 75% of the potable water lines were installed, and the solar and air conditioning systems were in final testing.
- Early 2026: A large shipment of solar panels, batteries and inverters arrived for the homes, and road widening continued around the community pond.
Why Roads Are Roughed in First
Roads are deliberately left rough until most home construction is complete, then finished with more gravel and turf or paving stone. That keeps the finished surface safe from heavy equipment and concrete trucks.
Water You Control
The community water system is built around a 30,000-gallon tank filled by a high-volume solar pump, held in a tower 8 meters high at the property's highest elevation. Gravity delivers the pressure.
Good Neighbors
On August 27, 2024, the Mayor of Chame, a role closer to a district governor, visited to meet our team and tour the property. Veritas Village Coronado also creates local jobs, from construction and orchard management to security and landscaping.
